Called Meeting

The Stephens County Board of Commissioners held a Called Meeting, Friday March 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m.. In attendance was Commissioners Steve Chitwood, Kenneth Peeples and Rex Anderson, Darrell Hampton, County Administrator, Phyllis Ayers, Finance Director and County Attorneys Russell Smith and Brian Ranck.

Commissioner Chitwood called the meeting to order.

Commissioner Chitwood welcomed those in attendance.

Commissioner Chitwood called for a motion to approve the agenda. Commissioner Peeples made a motion to approve the agenda; Commissioner Anderson seconded the motion, the motion was unanimously approved.

Commissioner Peeples made a motion to go into Executive concerning potential litigation and a personnel matter; Commissioner Anderson seconded the motion, the motion was unanimously approved.

The Commission went into Executive Session at 10:32 a.m., the Commission came out of Executive Session at 12: 35 p.m..

Commissioner Peeples made a motion to provide $5,000.00 to the Shiloh Volunteer Fire Department for the purchase of a ladder truck from the Bartow County Fire Department; Commissioner Anderson seconded the motion, the motion was unanimously approved.

Commissioner Peeples made a motion to direct the Road Superintendent to prepare and send a letter to Martin Construction concerning the status of the road contract; Commissioner Anderson seconded the motion, the motion was unanimously approved.

They’re being no other business to come before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned at 12:37 p.m.
